Wow this is a stunning outcome. I have been wanting a fish eye lens for a while but did not know alot about this and what range of photos I could take with them. /This photo has just sold me on one, Ill have to start saving lol

Thanks, Alan, for your kind and appreciative comment. Actually, that thing in the grass is the glass lens of a floodlighting unit! I didn't really notice it until you pointed it out, but that's probably simply because I knew it was there! Also, when you see the full size uncompressed version, it's much more obvious what the thing is, and somehow I think it makes it less distracting than the vague smudge which is all you can see at this resolution.

Hi Steve, Thanks for posting all of your latests photos using the fish-eye lens. I like this photo the best with the flying buttresses really effected from the lens. Excellent composition, colors, and focusing. I feel cloning out the trash or bird? at the bottom in the grass would help. It keeps drawing my attention. Still a awesome photo of the cathedral. You are so lucky to live around all these great old buildings.
