Letchworth Park

Thanks Ann and thanks Bruce for the information,I wrote everything right down. My daughter lives in Youngstown and I think its a couple hours drive to letchworth but she told me we can plan on visiting there a couple times. She mentioned the Erie canal, I dont know whats there but im looking forward to it. Western NY is very pretty anyways and the people are so very friendly. Oh and I get to visit with a couple of my grandkids.

Nice shot from above the falls! We live near Rochester, and visit Letchworth frequently. When you revisit the park, I'd suggest checking out the "free" part on the other side of the river, with a Civil War parade ground, and a scenic loop (dirt road-drive all the way in past the cabins and up the hill). The entrance is less than a mile outside portageville on the road to Nunda. Some nice views of the gorge. Also, check out the Army Corps of Engineers site at the Mt. Morris Dam, entrance is south of Mt. Morris on the road to Nunda. Nice overlook, trails, and visitor center. Some great views from the trails and the visitor center.

Thanks Ann this Park has at least 3 waterfalls and animals just wander around, really a very interesting place.
