Oh, wonderful, Jas, - what a treasure of an image. Love it! Lavinia has a lovely face. The entire image is so pleasing. And how interesting about the Romany tradition of burning all the possessions and her wagon, - had not known about this. When we lived in southern England, as a child, a very nice older gypsy lady used to visit us, as she made her rounds, selling items, -- my Mum always invited her in for a cup of tea and a chat. I always liked this lady and found her fascinating, and she seemed to take special interest in me, too, so I've always had a special feeling about gypsies as well, and always felt that this lady sensed that I was "one of them, also, somehow". Mum often said that I was, not sure if she was kidding or not, but I didn't mind.

Thank you for looking at Lavinia Anne. I, too, have a great afinity with this lady; she is my Great, Paternal, Grandmother and when she passed away, her 'wagon' and all her possessions were burned in the Romany tradition. She resided (most of the time) in the South of England and her full name was Lavinia Bowers, nee. Barney. :)

This is a special picture to me, because I Do have an affection for the gypsies and this lady's eyes are shaped like my Grandmother's eyes. Do I dare to hope? I used to be a genealologist and my ancestors came from Wales. Oh, and I read cards for years. It is a great picture, Jas, regardless! *g*
