I have just got an email from the owners of this wonderful lavender field. They must have seen this photo on here and put two and two together and thought wow this is our place. They have told me when the best time to capture the lavender. I will be going back to get macro's as well as different angle in the new year. SMELL the LAVENDER.

Anne thank you for your wonderful comment. We have moved and only live 20minutes away from it now instead of 2 hours so will be going back this season. Love Lavender!!!!

Lulu will have to go and see them when we are over next. These ones were at the base of the saddle road between Woodville and Palmy

Since everyone likes them so much, they will just have to come to Hawkes Bay to see them. Its really nice and they even have a cafe. I'm pretty sure its called the Whitebay world of lavender.

lavender oh my god there is my heaven i have the sgbrown touching and stroking problem here can not pass it with out doing that ... reminds me of a Monet painting with the greens and purples neatly cropped to a pleasure to view

A wonderful shot and I love the cropping. I agree with km about the colour contrast. Most of the lavender fields I've seen have been in the south of France where it's so dry that you never see grass that green amongst the lavender!

Wow, the color is gorgeous. Nice contrast of green and lavender.
