These flowers belong to the Kumikumi from the pumpkin family, the skin or shell if this sort is hard, they are cut and roasted in their shell, served with a roast meal they are beautiful, A quick count I think I have about 34 fruit on the vines,

Lorraine great capture. Ive never heard of these before could you post a photo of the pumpkin when it is ready to pick, I dont like pumpkin but LOVE pumpkin soup
