This is one of our pumpkins for the winter, the shell or skin is very hard and thick, the best way to cook is break open, chop to smaller sizes and roast in the over, beautiful.

Thanks jas, the shell of them is very hard, impossible to cut away from thr flesh, I break them open with a small axe, the shell is really hard, safer than trying to use a knife.

Our grand-daughters brought some pumpkin seeds over to our house, to grow in our garden; a different kind to this one though, as this one has ridges on the skin. Must try out your way of cooking them though. Nice shot. :)
