The water is so clear that the color shows so clearly. I have never seen a bright yellow one.

thankyou Vincent for the interesting info and for the comment. had no idea about the restrictions there. or about the price some people in Japan will pay for these! Expensive meal for the herons and racoons in this area : )

Nice mix of Koi Alandra,I know in Japan people will pay up to 50 thousand for one of these as pets,but here in N.Z they are not permitted because of they are a carp and can take over natural water ways,having said that they are establishing in the port of the Waikato(between Hamilton and Auckland) and it is half salt water and half fresh water (brackish water)-people get paid to get rid of them now.(some over two feet long)

thanks Alex, - had a great time that day taking these shots. but until a child came along and knew where to get the food for the fish, I hadn't realized there was an easier way to capture the shots LOL (leave it to the kids, right)
