Guest - Feb 16, 2007 04:08 PM EDT hi Fella, thanks for the comment, - not sure what the dead bird is. Someone else mentioned that the eagles hang around by the beaches here too, so once I can climb down the steep flight of steps to the beach, might go to investigate that area, - they get the clams apparently also.
Guest - Feb 12, 2007 08:43 PM EDT thats really cool is it a duck .
??..eagles are gettin a lot of ducks down here right know ..even grap a few seagulls to ..when i go lookin for eagles i gotta find them according to the local tide waiting for it to go out ..they wait near the water in the trees .. bummer about the compression ..but still great pic ..fella
Guest - Feb 12, 2007 01:03 PM EDT thanks Don, glad you took a look also. Know what you mean, - I was sorry to see the prey, - but the eagles have to eat, such huge birds, and quite likely they don't eat like that every day, so must make the most of it while they can.
Guest - Feb 12, 2007 09:34 AM EDT Awesome capture Alandra! Graphic shot. You have to feel a bit sorry for the prey, but such is nature. The eagle survives another day. Don
Guest - Feb 11, 2007 06:47 PM EDT thanks Steve and Alex, glad you were both able to take a look at it :) In my version, the eye and beak look so much better - in this compressed view the beak appears blurry.
Guest - Feb 11, 2007 02:27 PM EDT WOW!! what a great shot, survival of the fittest.
Guest - Feb 11, 2007 02:22 PM EDT Nature, red in teeth and claw, eh, Alandra?
But a great image, just as you described it in your e-mail. It's good to see nature as it really is sometimes, and it sure ain't always pretty!
