This is a very interesting achitectural picture. My first thought was of the movie, "Bridges of Madison County". Great photo of the structure inside of the bridge.

Nice capture of the bridge interior. I like looking at covered bridges too and don't see many of them.

Thanks Talsi and Alandra,this bridge is kept in very good condition and is in a very small town in Maine.I have been there many times and never have seen anyone else there. A great place to take photos.

Thanks Anne for the lovely comment. Covered bridges are becoming a thing of the past.I would love seeing the one that played a part in the Civil War.

This is a great shot!!! We have a few old covered bridges scattered through West Virginia and they are honored by all. I love the stories that accumulate about the bridges. How signifant the one was in the Civil War. I enjoyed looking at the structure of this one. Thank you. Wonderful picture of the past!
