Thanks for the comment and the info Marjorie,I didn't know that.This guy is a solitary sort,he doesn't come out into the open very often.

We have two of these blue buntings at our bird feeders. Our bird book says there is a blue indigo and a blue bunting. One is tourquoise and so gorgeous. They are both beautiful. They started coming around in May and are still here in june.

Alex - Is this a recent shot? Beautiful. Reason for the question is that the Indigo Buntings left nearly a month ago. I was wondering when they got to you. There were here regularly and then just were gone. Maybe they went north.

Very nice photo Alex, the nice green background makes the birds blue really stand out. What a pretty bird and my favorite color.
