About This Image

The full moon last night,was about 30,000 miles closer to the earth than normal and appeared to be 17% larger. We had clear skies in Maine so I just had to give a try.

What an excellent shot. I read that this months full moon is bigger than at any other time, and you got a great shot.

Great photo Whittler! I looked out at the moon during the evening. I took a short break for the Red Sox game. I could only "dream" of catching this hunters moon. What a detailed capture of this moon.
