Guest - May 14, 2007 07:10 PM EDT Thank you Don and Alandra. I was very surprised at how close the nesting birds were to the boardwalk. When I heard that they had the breeding marsh at Gatorland, I expected to be able to see them at some distance. I was really thrilled when I arrived and found that the boardwalk ran right through acres of breeding birds. It was absolutely amazing.

Guest - May 14, 2007 04:34 AM EDT great image. this is exactly what I saw thru my lens last year, when trying to capture images of our nesting herons, they are all competing for the food the parents bring back to the nests, and the bigger the babies get, the worse it is for the poor parents :) But mine were from too great a distance so not as good as these images.
