About This Image

Hummingbird, Rufous female, (note tiny feet : ) feeding at Japonica flower (or Flowering Quince shrub as it's also known). Taken from open front window, telephoto lens.
The fruit of the quince is forming at the lower R corner of the photo. They look like small apples but are as hard as nails : ) The thorns on the shrub can also be seen here.

Great shot. I love the way they are suspended in air when they feed. I understand their wings help them do that.
