yesterday on front patio, this hummer was very "tame" and was feeding within an arm's length of me at times, this flower is Crocosmia "Lucifer", which they love. (it grows from corms, like bulbs).
But he was closest to me when he was feeding from plants set on a small table, close to the chair I was seated in, plants chosen especially to attract them, so it does work : )
