Hi Susan, thanks very much, am happy you found this one. It's hard to capture pics of the males. We have 3 Anna's hummers feeding here during this winter, they do overwinter in this region. The Anna's are slightly larger than these Rufous hummers.

Imo tho', believe I've taken better images of a hummer than this one, but just happened to find it when going thru the hard drive on my old computer. However, it did lose something of the sharpness when it was compressed for this site.
