A top view of our home from a neighboring high rise,showing the terrace on the 4th floor and a smaller terrace on the 3rd.
With the changing face of the city and a rapid growth of high rise buildings in our immediate vicinity, I told one of my friends: now they can easily look down upon us!
The Gulmohar seen by many in this gallery, is in full bloom. The tree with pale green leaves is the Kanchan, the flowers of which are very much sought after by parakeets and humming birds.
Sadly, it died last year.

Thanks,Alandra. I live in Shivaji Park area in Central Mumbai. Well, I don't really know whether these small birds are really humming birds. They are very quick and difficult to even snap, so a zoom shot makes it even more difficult. I think they are more likely to be sun birds. I will post a photo when it is good and clear.

Hi Shreekant, the flowering tree is lovely. Where do you live? I am also interested to see hummingbirds from different areas, and am wondering which type live there. Are they there year round?

Thanks Carol. The ones we have here are very quick, and I don't yet have a good photo of them. I will post it as soon as I get I one.

Looks like a great place to live,what kind of Hummingbirds do you have? I would love to see a photo of your Hummers. Carol
