About This Image

American Holly:
In the autumn times and through the winter. These plants have bright red berries on them. They also are evergreens. The berries make good food for cedar waxwings, robins, catbirds, mockingbirds, brown thrashers, other wintering birds. Raccoons and white-footed mice eat them as well.

They plants are dioecious. This means they have to have a male and female plant in order to get the fruit.
