This hen and chicks(a common rockery plant)is getting ready to flower.This is a very large specimen and I expect great things from the blossom.

Wow! I have never have seen this plant before. The lighting is very nicely done. The shapes and colors of this plant are outstanding. I like your capture very much.

lovely image, Golda, the lighting and colours are great, as the others have said. A friend gave me some small ones, but they didn't survive, not sure why, so I was quite disappointed. Will have to try a larger one from a garden center, after reading about the success with yours. Sounds so pretty.

Thanks Vicki,this is turning out to be a spectacular plant.It now looks like the whole specimen will be flowering.The more sun it gets the more the blossoms emerge.

Great shadow play really adds to this one, Golda. The colors are beautiful. I believe you are right that it is in the succulent family. Vicki

Yes Mike,this is almost like something you would see in a desert garden.It can survive with very little soil and water,as it stores the moisture in its leaves.It could also be in the succulent family.

am i correct in thinking that these are rubbery to touch? the lighting of this compostion adds a great deal of detail to a lovely picture ..fantastic
