About This Image

A red tailed hawk showed himself in our yard this morning and attacked a bluejay as he was feeding on the lawn.He was immediately attacked by six or seven other bluejays,but finally flew off with his prey after about five minutes.

Nature can be brutal sometimes. What an amazing event for you to witness and the courage of the other jays. I once watched small sparrows mob a red-tail hawk until they drove it away as they protected a nearby nest.
