hawk preparing to fly down to the lawn, where he went underneath the shrubs in hopes of catching the songbirds that hide there - rather than flying right into the dense shrubbery without success, as he's done in the past :)

appreciate your nice comments, Don, thankyou. Yes, he is a pretty fella/gal, - very daring too. It was cool to see him running along on the lawn at edge of shrubs before hopping up inside the bushes. Little devil :)- we wondered if maybe he'd caught something earlier and was going back down there to retrieve it, but couldn't see any evidence of that.
