This is a layered shot I put together just for fun. The 2 photos were actually taken within an hour of each other. After photographing the Hatteras Lighthouse, I caught one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever seen, over the Hatteras sound on our way up the road. I just thought the 2 were right for each other. Gorgeous photo Don!! The rich colors of the sunset is wonderful. And the way you made it where you can see the sky and clouds through the windows of the lighthouse is awesome.

A great composite, Don. After seeing so many photos of it, I was surprised how fascinated I was with it when I saw it myself. Did you go down the road where it originally stood? If you didn't, there's a memorial the width of her base where the names of all her keepers and their dates of service. It really makes you appreciate the distance more. Vicki
