Thanx all for the compliments. Yes for days she and hubby were luring me away but then I read somewhere how to find the eggs and I spent laborious time looking for it and voila. And she threw a fit at me going there. You should have seen it. Going to go there again and get video of her squaking. I have a bird ID book and I verified it on Yahoo that is ideed the kildeer. I think they are so beautiful.

thankyou Janice, - what a wonderful image too! We saw a kildeer last summer,- first one I'd ever seen, -- but not as lucky as you to see the eggs. Such a lovely scene and so great for the Mothers Day card. Very sharp image also, perfect. I don't recall the kildeer we saw, having the dark bands at the top of it's chest. Must go back and look at my pics of it.

Beautiful image. Amazing that you found her near her egg-filled nest. They usually try to lure you away from the nest. Love the framing, too.
