green parrot at the Bloedel Conservatory, Vancouver BC. A woman was carrying this one around while I was there. For some reason I found this one difficult to "capture", he was moving all the time : )

May not be perfectly sharp (you've got very high standards as it looked pretty good to me) but the contrast between the jagged feathers of the tail, and the smooth curve on the other side means that the composition more than makes up for the slight softness in focus.

thanks Beverly, - it's not quite as sharp as some of the others, as he was preening. Just wouldnt stay still for me : )
