such lovely plumage on these birds. love them. I'd be so excited to see such exotic types of birds if we went to those areas : )

Vicki, I think these are mostly a Mexican species and found in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Santa Anna had a blind set up where they supplied water and seed for the birds to come to. Shame the day I was there it wasn't brighter.
