While roaming the docks in Clewiston I spied this Green Heron. It must have had a successful fishing day as it's resting on one leg.

I've never even seen one ON one leg before, Don! The first one I saw had its neck extended and I had a devil of a time trying to identify it in my bird books!

These are interesting hank you - therons as their necks appear short and look almost out-of-proportion to their bodies when extended
