Great Blue heron adult and youngsters in the nest.
High up on the bluff area where there are about 400 herons nesting.
Not sure how many youngsters are in this nest. I didn't realize the young herons are brown in colour. Assume that's for camouflage/protection while they are too young to defend themselves.

glad you like them, Carol, it is very interesting to go there and watch them. I said last time "am only going to take a couple of shots" LOL - ended up filling the card, which really surprised me.

Very interesting to see thier nest.I have never seen this bird in the wild.Might of at a Game farm cant recall.Great photo. Carol

Great capture. I have never seen herons nesting. I would love to.
