Great Blue Heron in Flight

thankyou Janice and Talsi, glad you like them. There are lots of the GB Herons in this area, infact it's our small town's "Logo" : ) We were told that last year, there were 250 herons at that same area, nesting, so this is why we went there yesterday. But we didn't see that many

Ah, such a beautiful bird. Great Shot. When I lived in Michigna, these birds were common, but not here in the mountains. It's a treat now when I do get to see one.

thanks very much for the encouragement, Karen. Yes, found it hard. Infact, half the time, couldn't even SEE the birds in the viewfinder, LOL. Then by the time I focussed in, they had long gone : ) They move sooo fast.

I sure did, Alex D. thankyou. Wish you could have been there too. There was so much going on, so many different herons and eagles etc flying around. DH had a hard time getting me to leave : )
