About This Image

Grand Prismatic hot spring in Yellowstone national park. The blue steamy part is the actual spring. On a good day the spring is actually crystal clear. Very pretty, but foul smelling.

These pools are fascinating, I think. I love the colour variations and the different patterns that show in the water. Lovely snowy backdrop! :)
