About This Image

This Grackle was at my birdbath and not paying much attention to anything. It did spot me as I took this photo. I will be replacing this shot, I did something to pexilate it?

Hi Ann, There are many different grackles, the ones around here are all black. I don't know much about them or the rest of the birds around here. I just take there photos lol.. I'm glad you liked my photo.

Outstanding photo Alan. Is a Grackle a black bird? I have never seen one such as this in my area.

Really nice capture of this bird. I'll be watching to see if someone identifies it. The shape of the beak is interesting, kind of hooked at the end.

Nice capture Alan! What a neat looking bird. A very long beak huh? I would be interested to find out more about them. Don

Thanks Alex, Alandra, Carol, and Whittler for your inspiring comments. I have no idea what these birds are called. They show up this time of year then disappear. They have some great tunes that they sing and I enjoy listening to them. I am though having trouble getting good photos of these black birds.

great profile of the bird, Alan. His beak looks almost iridescent gold, and his eye shows up well also. Any idea which type of bird this is?
