It's now been long enough to return to this face but it still confuses me that other faces take over this portrait so I'm still trying to nail down the expression and hold it in place long enough to paint it in colour. Thankfully, this is the only face which is haunted by other inclinations; I seem to be going against something to get on with this painting. I'll throw a party when it's finished.
