Thanks Ann,this tree is in Virginia, photo taken while we were there on vacation and the trees interested me too. There were many.many trees like this, lots of them on Plantations. Being from the Pinetree state they surely do get your attention. Someone may see this and let us know what kind of tree it is.

What a great opportunity to get a capture of the Can. goose. I also am interested in the tree you have also in the photograph. Do you happen to know the name of this tree? It looks like it is lacking bark?
