Guest - Oct 15, 2006 08:56 PM EDT Ok Vicki you really got me laughing on this comment.I can see he shouldnt of complained.LOL
This is a gorgeous lighthouse.
Oh and Mystic is my daughter, where she lives is only about a 5 minute walk to this lighthouse but she says even if she didnt live there it would still be her favorite.
Thanks for commenting Vicki very much appreciated.
Guest - Oct 12, 2006 07:29 PM EDT I missed this before - it's a GORGEOUS image of Fort Niagara Light - and like Mystic - it's my overall favorite too - even if we can't climb the tower. (Or has that changed now?)
Years ago on a trip to Niagara Falls,my ex emphatically told me that I was NOT aloud to make any planned trips to any lighthouses - he was tired of them. Our campground hostess recommended FORT Niagara (which is also my favorite fort) - so you can imagine my delight when we spotted this gem - he was furious and was sure I planned it (one of the reasons he's my ex!!!).

This stone structure went into service in 1872.The Lighthouse stands 61 feet tall. The Light is visible twenty-five miles out into Lake Ontario.
Guest - Aug 30, 2006 06:51 PM EDT Lovely photo of the lighthouse. Wonder how old it is. I should google it!
