Thanks for the comment Alandra,I'm glad you enjoyed it.Yes, it is a Beech tree,it doesn't seem to be a fast growing tree and so far I haven't seen any beech nuts on it. Maybe the squirrels get to them before I see them

first time I saw this one, really like it. Is that a copper beech tree with those leaves still clinging on? Planted one of those at a house at Abbotsford many years ago, for the reason that the coppery coloured leaves remain most of the winter. would like to go back and see how much the tree's grown since.

Very nice wintery scene. Is this your hiking trail? Ever been in the woods when snow is falling and notice how quiet and still everything is?
