About This Image

I was in Laughlin, Nevada today and there were lots of Grackles along the Colorado River. I just happened to have some popcorn and coaxed this one pretty close. He grabbed the corn and took off while I took his photo. I have no idea how the effect happened on it's wings.

Hi Karen and Carol, Thanks for your thoughts on my latest flying bird photo. This is a improvement over my other flying bird attempts. I need a lot more practice for sure. I hear ya Karen about them being noisy. I have not seen a male fan his feathers for the girls, but I will be paying a lot more attention to them from now on.

Great shot. They are very noisy and very smart. It is fun to watch the male fan his tail feathers as he tries to impress a female.
