thanks May. It does look similar to Buddleia, but it's a perennial flower called Gooseneck Loosestrife. It has spread over the years and now is taking up too much space on the front patio garden area, so will have to move some :)

This looks like it might be buddleia, or butterfly bush. Neat shot.
