About This Image

The Botanical Gardens in Rarotonga Cook Islands. They had these wonderful waxy looking flowers of varing sizes and colours. I think they are a lily of some kind

I think Lorraine is right, these are from the lily family and are called Anthurium. We were out to dinner one evening and some of these were on the table, as decoration. My friend thought they were artificial and snapped the middle off one - naturally, (or not?) we ended in hysterics! Lovely shot of these tropical beauties.

Great capture Tania, I've seen something like this over here, but they don't have that wax look that yours have, I aslo think that they may be from the lily family.
