About This Image

This flower was growing on a bush at the Chalmette Battlefield, south of New Orleans where the actual well known battle took place.

I do not know what type of flower it is but I was surprised to see such a beautiful flower in bloom down in a land that has been decimated by Katrina for the most part.

Thanks. I loved the way this flower looked. And considering it is on a battlefield of history and in an area devestated by Katrina, I was amazed to see it.
