This is the way Front Street in Natchitoches, Louisiana was decorated for the 4th of July. Natchitoches is considered the oldest city in Louisiana. It was known as a gateway to Texas and lies along the Texas Louisiana border.

Thanks for the comments. Actually, I chose this block because no one had parked here yet. You can barely see the brick on the street but this street is made of brick. Huey Long, back in the 1930s wanted to remove the brick. Over 100 women were in the middle of the street not wanting the brick removed. They were the Historical Society. Huey was called about the ladies. He said forget about the street because he wanted their support. Some in Natcitoches now call them the Hysterical Society.

Great shot here Dud. Good lines, composition and nice pleasing colors. Nice to see a street with no one parking on it.
