Female Cardinal

Thanks Alandra and Anne for the lovely comments,I was surprised to see how different the female looks too. They are the first birds in the morning to come to the feeders or at least it seems that way lately.

I have always loved the soft feminine look of the Mommy Redbird. I also liked the red leaf not too far away from her and the way her head is tilted - just a little but in line with her body. Very nice shot for a bird lover, which I am.

interesting to see the female cardinal, Carol. Had no idea they were as grey as this.- thought they were just a duller red than the males.
