Guest - Jul 30, 2005 09:47 PM EDT oh okay, thanks for explaining. Have heard of and eaten White Springs. It's all great but also prefer the "reds". Have lived in Northern BC and the Interior/Cariboo, so have enjoyed a lot of great fish while there, -there was so much of it in Northern BC, they built a community smokehouse and the residents cut the alder and kept the smoke going round the clock. Lots of trout too, in the Cariboo district, Dolly Vardens - Steelhead, - like you say, would like some around now : )
Guest - Jul 30, 2005 07:22 PM EDT hi alandra ...yes a king .fine catch..a king is one and the same as chinook .spring.and also known as a king..its the biggest out of the salmon ..out of the fraser there ya mostly get white kings ..the meat is white in color due to what they eat ..and some rteds there .mostly red meat ..down here in our local river we have mostly reds .as for the differant in taste all up to the one eaten it .i prefer reds ..sockeye an coho are all great to eat also mmmmm im wishin now
