A beautiful composition. At first I thought those were pampas grass fronds. I hear they are not so fond of them in California as they tend to spread like weeds. They make a great silhouette, though.

So very beautiful!! Nostalgic! Twilight always makes me feel this way. The day is ending, usually little insects are humming or singing, twilight is erasing harshness of any hurt that has come through the day with its gentle colors and a quietness, that allows us to hear the water's gentle soothing lapping. A wonderful picture!!!

I appreciate everyone's kind comments. This was taken near the village of Jenner, just north of Bodega Bay, along California's north coast. The river in foreground is the Russian River where it flows into the Pacific Ocean. Hi Vicki, I have forwarded the links page to you. Doug

Love this with the Sea Oats, Doug. Incredible colors and composition.
