About This Image

Taken at the Pittsburgh zoo. Range: West Africa
Habitat: Fresh water slow-moving rivers, lakes, swamps, and marshes of West Africa.
They are an endangered species because of hide and trophy hunters, and the loss of habitable land due to drainage and diversion of water
Diet in the wild: Fish, birds, crustaceans, and small land vertebrates
Diet in the zoo: carnivore diet (rodents, fish, and meat)

Well, that answers my question about this being a caimen. I didn't know there were dwarf crocs. This shot got some interesting detail.
