I identified these using my bird book as Black-Backed Whistling Ducks. Mostly they range south and into Mexico.

Very nice photo. I'm drawn to the gold, brass and copper shades in the water which of course must have been in the sky too.

Beautiful. I like how the ripples are visible around the ducks.
