Guest - Jan 02, 2008 05:08 PM EDT Wow, you built your own wall? Very well done, Cindy, and thanks for looking again - glad you liked it so much. Would be nice to see your wall too.
Guest - Dec 22, 2007 03:03 PM EDT Just had to view this again as it inspired me to make my dry stone wall. After one week and four huge trailer loads of rocks,(and a sore back!) I have finally finished and its such a good feeling to sit in the garden and say 'I built that'!!
Guest - Sep 25, 2007 11:11 AM EDT Yes, these walls are truly built in the old style - no mortar, just well placed stone. It must have taken ages to finish one field.
Guest - Sep 24, 2007 11:00 PM EDT it's really a great image. Reminds me of the stone walls in Yorkshire that I saw when visiting with my aunt and uncle years ago. These walls have always been appealing to me.
Guest - Sep 23, 2007 07:36 PM EDT I'd recently watched a TV programme where some elderly English gentlemen were showing the 'true old way' these were made. You wall looks just so. Remarkable photograph!
Guest - Sep 23, 2007 06:57 PM EDT I saw some of these wall in the south Island of New Zealand, I like them, a natural way of blending in with the country side.
