Hi Alex, thanks again. Yes, I got a new camera in January. I used Paint Shop Pro to brighten the entire image. Was very happy to see this little fella here.

Is it just me, or did you get a new camera? The detail on this is quite fine. Did you desaturate most of the bird, or is it that black and white? Nicely done.

thankyou both again, Mary from England and Carol. Am so pleased to have captured these images, as this little fella has not been back to our garden since. Infact that was the only time we've ever seen a Downy woodpecker at our feeders.

Alandra, the close ups you get are just so amazing. The clarity and textures. Like the angle of this one and definitely the red patch.
