Discovered this piece of sculpture down in the basement of an African Arts Store in San Francisco.

I am struck by the expression in the face and eyes. It almost feels alive.

I see what you mean by the expression. They say the eyes are the window of the soul and the artist managed to capture something intangible. Thanks for sharing.
