Thanks Alan,Alandra and Anne for the lovely comments. Alandra I hope your Hummers are safe and return soon. If I remember right it was the same here last year with our first sighting of our hummers. Alan that may be why you always see these birds in pairs. If it is true thats pretty neat,I think.

You captured the dove's beautiful curve - it really added to the whole picture!! I'm glad we also got to see the dove's beautiful pink legs braving the snow!! The softness of the picture just sets it off!! Beautiful picture!!

lovely image of the mourning dove, Carol. happy for you that more birds have returned to your garden and feeders. Haven't seen our hummingbird for a couple days, so am concerned about it.

Hi Carol, If I remember right Dove will pick a mate and they stay together for life.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, very much appreciated. These Doves just returned here a couple days ago and yesterday I was real lucky and got their pics. Seems like they are always in pairs, What is interestingis this one was looking back to see the other Dove that I uploaded here.

I like the over-the-shoulder pose. I didn't realize they stayed during the winter. They are such beautiful birds.

Beautiful photo showing the Dove's back feathers and watchful eye. It seems strange to see the dove in the snow.
