About This Image

Dingmans Falls is about 13 miles from where I'm now working. With a 130 foot plunge, it is the second tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania, sliding down a sandstone face.

We've had little rain lately, so none of the area waterfalls are at their prime, yet I enjoyed the relaxing walk here - and did take the 250 stairs to the top of these pleasing falls.

Thank you Mary, Alex and Cindy. I've been fortunate in working in two areas this summer that boast multiple waterfalls. Dingmans Falls was first opened to the public in 1888. The original hotel buildings are being restored as a Visitor Interpretive Center, now under the National Park Service (since 1975). Vicki

Beautiful composition and colors Vicki. Very clear/sharp focus and I like the contrast of colors between the foliage and falls. I like the frame too. The photo is very refreshing looking!
