Devastation in the Maldives, after the Tsunami. A huge tidal wave hit this resort and flooded much of the complex, destroying buildings and landscape!
All this had to be rebuilt and much of it, by the people employed at the resort itself.
Nature can be very cruel!

Yes Talsi, it was such a beautiful part of the world. It just shows that we can't take anything for granted - nature has total control.

Thank you all for the positive comments. The residents were working really hard to re-build their lives while we visited here. The colours in the Indian Ocean are really rather special.

Although this is a foto of devastation the photo is beautiful. I love the way it draws my eyes to the center.
