Guest - Nov 01, 2005 03:48 PM EDT have just done a google search, and it was the Delta King that was at Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada : ) She was sold to Kitimat Constructors as a home for the workers of Alcan (Aluminum Co of Canada) in 1952. At high tide on May 15 1952, the Delta King was floated into a "basin" where the water was drained, and where she rested on solid ground until late 1958 at Kitimat, BC.
amazing the info that Google has : )
Guest - Nov 01, 2005 01:49 PM EDT we had a Delta Queen vessel at Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada years ago. She was moored "permanently", and believe she was used as accommodation for the workers at Alcan there. Am wondering if it's the same Delta Queen.
